Why won’t the Republicans impeach Trump?

Because they believe in carrying a baby full-term!

Even in cases of treason and graft. (stolen from a friend of a friend).

Washington Gridlock

Newsweek reports today that democratic Senators are tweeting photos of piles of house passed bills killed by Mitch McConnell’s desk. Once again, American citizens are hurt by partisan gridlock.

If this offends you, then take action. See our post on the 2020 senate elections.

First Christian Group breaks ranks.

Conservative Christianity Today came out in support of the impeachment. They’re the first major evangelical group to publicly support Trump’s removal from office.

While we may disagree on some major issues, it is clear that the moral left and the moral right stand united against this corrupt president.

Read the CT Editorial.

https://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2019/december-web-only/trump-should-be-removed-from-office.html?share=

CT takes a stand against trump.

“…the facts in this instance are unambiguous: The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents. That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral.”

Christianity Today, MARK GALLI, DECEMBER 19, 2019

Pick one: Jesus or Trump.

Furthermore, they made no bones about the fact that you cannot be both a follower of Jesus and Trump.

“To the many evangelicals who continue to support Mr. Trump in spite of his blackened moral record, we might say this: Remember who you are and whom you serve. Consider how your justification of Mr. Trump influences your witness to your Lord and Savior.  “

Christianity Today, MARK GALLI, DECEMBER 19, 2019

Hypocrisy isn’t okay, especially in the face of blatant misconduct. Further,

Who’s next?

Conservative groups must abandon their single-minded obsession with appointing pro-life justices to stand-up for right and morality.

Trump Articles of Impeachment.

The Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives releases Trump Articles of Impeachment.

I rather be an American than a trump supporter. We support the Trump Articles of Impeachment.

The day we’ve been waiting for has arrived.

We watched for three long years while Trump sullied the oval office. He gave Congress more than enough reasons to impeach.

President Trump violated the public trust. He violates the emoluments clause with his hotels and businesses. He and his staff frequently cross the line set by the Hatch Act. We know Trump obstructed justice (& likely committed perjury) during the Mueller investigation. Further, he divulged sensitive intelligence to the Russians.

Yet, with all this ammo it took three years to reach impeachment. There easily could be 5 or 6 high crimes and misdemeanors against the Orange Menace but,

Democrats keep focus.

There are just two articles of impeachment against Trump, but they hit the mark. The first is “abuse of power” and the second is for “obstruction of Congress.”

Why are there only two articles? The Democrats wanted to keep the arguments against Trump simple and streamlined. Trump’s minions are easily confused so the Dem’s best bet for wide public support is to keep it simple.

Simple yet powerful, let’s unpack what they mean.

The 2 Trump Articles of Impeachment.
